Building on the NC A&T historically Black university (HBCU) legacy of exemplary teaching, scholarship and effective public service, the College of Education offers degrees at the baccalaureate, master’s, and doctoral levels. The mission is to prepare highly skilled, transformative and innovative educators, leaders, and counselors. Graduates are catalysts for transformative action to improve education and counseling in diverse contexts and communities.
The College of Education comprises three departments and a Laboratory School: the Department of Counseling, the Department of Leadership Studies and Adult Education, the Department of Educator Preparation, and Aggie Academy. The Department of Leadership Studies and Adult Education offers a variety of master and doctoral level academic programs: Master of Science in Adult Education, Master of School Administration, School Administration Add-on Licensure, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Leadership Studies. The department prepares students to be transformative scholar-practitioners.
