Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Day Porter to join our dynamic facilities maintenance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring our commercial and residential spaces remain clean, safe, and welcoming. Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, and restroom sanitation to uphold cleanliness standards.
- Conduct routine janitorial tasks such as window cleaning, surface disinfecting, and floor care including buffing and polishing to maintain a polished appearance.
- Assist with custodial responsibilities in both commercial and residential settings, ensuring spaces are tidy and well-maintained.
- Support facilities maintenance activities by reporting repairs needed for fixtures, flooring, or equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
- Execute industrial cleaning tasks as required, including deep cleaning of large areas or specialized equipment.
- Maintain safety protocols during all cleaning procedures, utilizing appropriate tools and chemicals responsibly.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure all areas are consistently clean, organized, and presentable.
Skills
- Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial work, custodial services, or facilities maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of floor care techniques such as buffing, stripping, sealing, and polishing floors.
- Ability to perform commercial cleaning tasks efficiently in busy environments.
- Experience with residential painting is a plus for minor touch-ups or aesthetic improvements.
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning procedures and equipment for large-scale or specialized cleaning projects.
- Excellent attention to detail combined with a proactive attitude toward maintaining cleanliness standards.
- Good communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and supervisors.
