Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented laborer to join our construction team. In this pivotal role, you will be working with a team to complete various epoxy and concrete projects. Your expertise will help drive project success by coordinating resources, managing schedules, and maintaining quality standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to completely unique flooring and concrete solutions using the newest techniques in the industry.
Duties
- Work on construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to project plans, schematics, and specifications
- Record time and materials used on each project with construction management software to track progress
- Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and co-workers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services
- Review blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to verify accuracy and feasibility before execution
- Help customers understand the process and timeline for their project
- Ensure compliance with safety standards such as OSHA regulations and industry best practices
- Maintain a clean work environment to ensure no debris causes issues with fresh flooring materials
- Read and interpret technical documents including schematics, blueprints, and construction estimating reports
- Prepare detailed reports on project progress, issues, and resolutions for future estimator use
Skills
- Experience with construction management software
- Proven track record in a construction environment across multiple projects
- Strong understanding of construction principles including scheduling, quality control, and safety compliance
- Ability to read blueprints, data sheets, and technical drawings accurately
- Skilled in the concrete construction process
- Must be able to communicate with customers, coworkers, and bosses in a timely fashion to ensure everyone is aware of any changes or issues that arise during a project
- Familiarity with concrete flatwork, decorative concrete, joint fill, and epoxy flooring
- Hands-on experience with tools such as concrete hand grinders, battery powered tools, and concrete finishing tools
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards applicable to construction environments
