Duties
- Lead and supervise the entire kitchen team, including chefs, cooks, and kitchen staff, promoting a positive and productive work environment
- Oversee menu planning, ensuring a diverse selection that balances innovation with customer preferences and dietary requirements
- Manage food preparation processes to maintain high standards of quality, presentation, and consistency in fine dining settings
- Coordinate food production activities for daily service, catering events, banquets, and special occasions with precision and efficiency
- Maintain strict inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste to optimize costs
- Enforce food safety protocols and hygiene standards in compliance with health regulations to ensure a safe dining environment
- Oversee shift management by scheduling staff effectively to meet operational demands while fostering team development
- Collaborate with the culinary team on new dish development, menu updates, and culinary innovations to enhance guest satisfaction
- Manage kitchen operations including equipment maintenance, cleanliness standards, and workflow optimization
- Provide training and mentorship to staff on food handling, cooking techniques, customer service, and safety procedures
Qualifications
- Proven experience in fine dining restaurant management or similar high-end culinary environments with a strong background in food production and service management
- Extensive culinary experience with expertise in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management
- Demonstrated supervisory experience leading diverse teams within a fast-paced setting
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards, dietary accommodations, inventory management, and catering operations
- Experience with banquet services, event catering, and large-scale food production is highly desirable
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and foster a collaborative work culture
- Familiarity with menu planning, shift scheduling, inventory control systems, and kitchen equipment maintenance
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with staff and other departments within the hospitality industry
