Working together with your team, the Remanufacturing Technician will be responsible for the disassembly and reassembly of selected Rivian powertrain and electric components returned from Service Centers. The Remanufacturing Technician will safely and accurately record the condition of returned components during the disassembly of EV propulsion systems (HV battery packs, Drive Units, and Power Electronics). During remanufacturing and reassembly, the Remanufacturing Technician will be responsible for recording critical data to track reliability and quality. Ideal candidates would be one who is open to new ideas and loves to continuously learn. Primarily responsible disassembly, recording condition, and assembly of field return parts
Support cross-functional teams to identify the root cause of issues
Assist Sr. Remanufacturing Technicians with part receiving tests, repairs, and end of line tests
Inspect, identify, and accurately report inspection findings
Meet production goals
Support campaign and containment activities
Perform work in accordance with standard methods
Promote and maintain a safe and organized (5S) working environment
Support production activities as necessary.
Embody a collaborative team spirit in an ever-changing environment – working with field service, production, and product development teams to strengthening organizational learning
Ability to properly document repairs completed and in process
Additional plant support, including travel, may be required depending on business need
High School Diploma, GED, or other recognized high school equivalency credential required
Ability to identify electrical and mechanical components used in EV propulsion systems (mechanical and electrical)
Basic understanding of testing low or high voltage electrical circuits
Ability to properly operate hand tools including powered and non-powered torque wrenches
Strong, verbal, and written communication and organization skills
When necessary, able to convert to a production-oriented mindset and to meet output requirements.
Ability to support alternate shifts and work schedules, if needed
Minimum age of 21
No driving related suspensions or revocation of Driver License (within a 3-5 year period)
Ability to read and speak fluent English
No drug or alcohol related driving incidents in the last 3 years
No more than 1 serious moving violation in the last 3 years
Must have a valid driver's license in the state of residence that you will be driving/operating a vehicle
Will be subject to continuous Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) monitoring
Ability to stand for 8-10 hours per day
Frequent use of hands to handle or feel material during quality inspections and performing day to day responsibilities
Occasionally required to climb, walk, stoop, kneel, or crouch
Required to communicate using telephone and/or e-mail
Ability to read, view, and interpret documents such as safety rules, SOPs, and repair instructions
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to perform all duties in a working environment that may contain dust, high noise levels, hot and cold weather
Commitment to travel about 5% of the time
