The Cactus is located in Perham & is truly a one-of-a-kind establishment:: Our footprint includes a Supper Club, Newly Renovated 8 Lane Bowling Alley, Arcade, Golf Simulator with lounge, plus a 350 person capacity Event Center. As if that doesn't keep us busy enough- we also do A LOT of off-site catering for weddings, corporate events and in home celebrations! We are busy now and getting ready for an even busier summer.
We are looking to add a part time line cook to our team! We have about 2-3 shifts/week that we are looking to fill. Must be available most Fridays & Saturdays. Sundays off!
We are looking for a professional line cook. The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to our customer satisfaction.
- Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
- Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
- Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
- Clean up station and take care of leftover food
- Stock inventory appropriately
- Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
- Assist with menu creation
Skills
- Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook or prep cook
- Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
- Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
- Familiar with industry’s best practices
- Catering & Event Experience is a plus but not required
