Overview
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking General Laborer with painting experience to join our team on a night shift schedule. This position focuses on painting street light poles and elevated structures, along with supporting general labor tasks on active job sites.
The ideal candidate is comfortable working at heights, can follow direction from the Superintendent, and is willing to assist with all aspects of the job—from setup to cleanup.
Responsibilities
- Assist with painting street light poles and elevated structures
- Mix and prepare paint and coatings according to job specifications
- Support the setup and breakdown of scaffolding and work platforms
- Safely work at heights using ladders and scaffolding
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and priming as needed
- Assist the Superintendent and crew with daily job site tasks
- Handle materials, tools, and equipment efficiently
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with OSHA standards
- Follow all safety procedures, especially when working at heights and around traffic areas
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous painting or construction labor experience preferred
- Must be comfortable working at heights
- Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team
- Experience with scaffolding setup and breakdown is a plus
- Basic knowledge of mixing paints and coatings
- Ability to lift, carry, and perform physical labor for extended periods
- Reliable transportation and strong work ethic required
- Night shift availability is required
