BearKat Brewing Company is a small, family-owned brewpub serving premium craft beers (brewed onsite in our 7 barrel brewhouse) and elevated pub fare including flatbread pizzas and gourmet hot dogs. We are welcoming "third place," serving as a gathering hub, hosting multiple weekly events, and operating with strong commitment to giving back to our community.
Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and personable Beertender to join our team. In this role, you will serve as a face of our brewpub, providing exceptional customer service while pouring and recommending craft beers, ciders, and wines. You will also be cross-trained to cook and serve food, creating a welcoming environment and ensuring every guest has a high-quality and positive experience.
The ideal candidate is passionate about craft beer (or interested in becoming an expert), possesses strong work ethic, and thrives in an environment where teamwork and attention to detail are essential.
Compensation is $16.30 hourly + excellent tips. Staff are onsite 1:30-9:30pm (Tues, Wed, Thurs), 10:30am-10:30pm (Fri, Sat) and 10:45am-8:30pm (Sun). We will coordinate an optimal work schedule with you, based on your availability + needs of the brewpub.
Requirements

- Ability and stamina to spend an extended amount of time on your feet
- Working as a team a must
- Valid, current OLCC alcohol service permit and Oregon food handler card
- You must be able to work weekends
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and professionally, take orders and offer personalized recommendations
- Provide excellent customer service at all times
- Create a clean, enjoyable, and lively atmosphere
- Operate Square point of sale system to process transactions accurately and efficiently
- Prepare and serve food, craft beers, wines, ciders and other beverages
- Ensure all food handling and beverage service adhere to health safety standards and sanitation protocols
- Move 150lb kegs of beer
- Utilize excellent multi-tasking skills to handle multiple orders & cleaning duties during busy periods
Pay: $16.30 per hour
