Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Afternoon Toddler Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to working with children and fostering their learning. This role requires effective classroom management skills, creativity in lesson planning, and the ability to engage students in various types of play.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging afternoon activities.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively, ensuring a respectful and productive learning environment.
- Provide support for toddlers with special education needs, adapting activities as necessary to accommodate individual learning requirements.
- Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and staff through effective communication and collaboration.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and behavior management strategies.
- Participate in professional development opportunities and stay current with educational best practices.
- Provide first aid assistance when necessary, ensuring the safety and well-being of all students.
Qualifications
- At least 18 years old.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Ability to be at work and on time daily.
- 45 DCF training hours and School Readiness training preferred.
- Experience working with students in a classroom setting is highly desirable.
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to work with all learners.
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques is a plus.
- Familiarity with special education practices is beneficial.
- Previous experience in childcare is advantageous.
- First aid certification is preferred but not required at the time of application.

This position is Mon thru Fri from 2 to 6. No weekends!
