Responsibilities
- Contact delinquent borrowers through phone calls, emails, and written correspondence to negotiate repayment plans and resolve overdue accounts.
- Maintain detailed records of all communication activities, payment arrangements, and account statuses using Microsoft Office tools such as Excel and specialized financial software.
- Analyze account data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for recovery or account reconciliation.
- Ensure compliance with consumer protection laws, financial regulations, and company policies during all collection activities.
- Handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity while adhering to industry standards for data security.
- Collaborate with accounts payable and receivable departments to reconcile accounts and process payments efficiently.
- Use negotiation techniques effectively to recover debts while preserving positive client relationships and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in accounts payable or debt collection negotiation is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of consumer protection laws, financial concepts, and industry regulations related to collections.
- Excellent phone etiquette with the ability to communicate clearly, confidently, and professionally over the phone.
- Demonstrated skills in negotiation, customer service, account analysis, and account reconciliation.
- Familiarity with financial regulatory compliance standards and confidentiality handling practices.
- Basic math skills for account analysis, revenue cycle management, debits & credits understanding, and financial concepts application.
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
