Accountant / Bookkeeper

Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accountant / Bookkeeper to join our garment and distribution company in Rowland Heights.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on accounting experience and be able to independently handle the company’s basic day-to-day accounting functions. QuickBooks experience is required.
Responsibilities
* Handle daily accounting and bookkeeping activities
* Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks
* Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
* Prepare and process customer invoices, vendor bills, payments, and expense records
* Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
* Monitor outstanding customer balances and follow up on payments when necessary
* Maintain organized vendor and customer accounting records
* Assist with inventory and purchase order reconciliation as needed
* Prepare basic financial reports, including Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet
* Assist with month-end and year-end accounting procedures
* Maintain organized accounting documents and supporting records
* Identify and resolve routine accounting discrepancies
* Coordinate with management, CPA, and tax professionals as needed
* Perform other accounting-related duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required:
* Hands-on QuickBooks experience
* Previous accounting or bookkeeping experience
* Working knowledge of AP, AR, invoicing, payments, and bank reconciliation
* Basic understanding of general accounting principles and financial statements
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
* Good organizational and time-management skills
* Ability to independently handle routine accounting responsibilities with minimal supervision
* Ability to handle confidential financial information professionally
Preferred:
* 1+ year of accounting or bookkeeping experience
* Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
* Experience in the garment, apparel, wholesale, distribution, or inventory-based industry
* Experience with inventory, purchase orders, and vendor reconciliation
* Bilingual English/Chinese is a plus
Compensation
Up to $24.00 per hour, based on experience, qualifications, and accounting knowledge.
