Position Summary: The Regional Clinical Operations Manager for Hospitalist and
Emergency Medicine manages CarePoint’s hospitalist and emergency medicine service
lines in Wichita, Kansas. Reporting to the enterprise Chief Operating Officer and Chief
Medical Officer, this role combines strategic leadership and hands-on management to
deliver high-quality, efficient, patient-centered care. The manager serves as a key
liaison between clinical teams, hospital administration, health system divisions, and
corporate leadership to ensure alignment with organizational goals, regulatory
compliance, and continuous performance improvement across inpatient and emergency
medicine programs. This role will require working from home and at our clinical locations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree (Required)
- Master’s degree (MBA, MHA, or related) is very strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years in clinical operations or healthcare management.
- At least 2 years of experience managing acute care services.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Expertise in inpatient hospital operations and emergency medicine.
- Proficiency with healthcare IT systems.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple sites and lead cross-functional teams.
- Data-driven with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong presentation skills to influence stakeholders at all levels, including executives.
- Proven track record of delivering client-focused solutions.
- Ability to manage multiple detailed projects simultaneously.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage daily clinical operations for the market inpatient and emergency medicine programs.
- Coordinate and execute staffing strategies and coverage models for physician and APPs with schedulers.
- Monitor and analyze clinical, quality, and patient experience metrics to drive performance improvement.
- Develop and implement standardized protocols, workflows, and care pathways with Medical Directors.
- Facilitate clinical case reviews and continuing education with Medical Directors.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, local regulations, CMS, and Joint Commission standards.
- Build relationships with hospital administrators, department heads, physicians, and nursing leadership.
- Support CarePoint service lines with strategic planning and business development.
- Gather and address feedback from physicians and staff to enhance service delivery.
- Collaborate with finance to monitor budgets, manage costs, and optimize efficiency.
- Support billing and coding accuracy for inpatient services.
- Travel to Colorado quarterly for corporate strategic development.
- Evaluate patient volumes to request and justify physician and APP staffing levels.
- Participate in provider recruitment, credentialing, and onboarding.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, quality and service.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

● Compensation: The salary range for this position is $110,000 - $130,000
depending on experience.
