We're seeking a reliable and motivated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to work with a very bright, verbal 11yo learner in his home and community.
This position focuses on developing independence, emotional regulation, executive functioning, social skills, and daily living skills through natural environment teaching and community-based activities.
Schedule
- Start with 1-2 afternoons per week
- Grow to approximately 16 hours/week (Monday-Friday after school) by fall as the current therapist transitions out
Responsibilities
- Implement ABA programs under BCBA supervision
- Teach adaptive living skills and after-school routines
- Conduct community outings and social skills practice
- Support homework, executive functioning, and problem-solving
- Collect accurate data and communicate with the BCBA and caregivers
- Collaborate with the treatment team to ensure consistency
Qualifications
- Current RBT certification
- Reliable transportation
- Consistent attendance and professionalism
- Comfortable working independently in a family home
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Confident, proactive personality
- Creative problem-solving skills
- Comfortable with community-based sessions
