Site Coordinator – Before & After School Program

The Holden Recreation Department is seeking a dependable, organized, and enthusiastic Site Coordinator to oversee our Before and After School Programs during the school year. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children, leading a team, and creating a safe, fun, and engaging environment for school-age participants.
Pay
$16.50 per hour
Schedule
This is a school-year-only position that follows the Wachusett Regional School District calendar.
- Before School: Monday–Friday, 7:15 AM – 9:00 AM
- After School: Monday–Friday, 3:15 PM – 5:30 PM
Responsibilities
- Supervise the daily operation of the Before and After School Program.
- Create a safe, welcoming, and positive environment for participants.
- Plan and lead age-appropriate games, activities, and crafts.
- Supervise and support program staff.
- Maintain attendance records and ensure proper sign-in/sign-out procedures.
- Communicate professionally with parents, Recreation Department staff, and school personnel.
- Address behavioral concerns appropriately while maintaining a positive program atmosphere.
- Ensure all program policies and safety procedures are followed.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 20 years of age.
- Experience working with school-age children in a childcare, recreation, camp, or educational setting.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience is preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- CPR/First Aid certification is preferred or willingness to obtain.
- Must successfully pass all required background checks.
