This is a FULL-TIME position (Wednesday- Sundays - 5:30am-3:00pm
Hourly Rate + Crazy good daily credit /cash tips = an average of $28-$30/hr.
Pearl's Bagels & Bakery is the premier scratch bagel shop/bakery/cafe in the Capital District. We are looking for a full-time, experienced Short Order Cook / Kitchen Manager to execute all hot menu as well as any seasonal products as well as manage back-of-the house operations.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Making in-store made products as needed for shift
- Prepping all needed items for shift BEFORE shift starts
- Inventory Management of all ingredients to make menu items
- Storage Management of all dry and cold goods, must keep workstation(s), and equipment used in the process while making items
- Sanitation Management for all items, workspace, and space used
- Equipment Management: You must maintain, clean, and sanitize all equipment / workspace during and after use
Back-of-the-House Management entails:
- Managing BOH staff (sandwich maker, dishwasher, bagel baker) to ensure successful execution of all menu items
- Ensures that BOH staff are following OSHA and safety guidelines
- Must be a team player to hop in and help where necessary
- Ensures that BOH staff are doing their jobs / manages the flow of BOH operations
Other important details:
- Professional kitchen experience required
- Must be energetic, quick on their feet and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Associates / Bachelor's in Culinary Arts preferred
- Able to lift 50lbs or more
- Able to follow direction, receptive to feedback
- Able to work early morning hours, weekends, & some Holidays
- Must have SHORT ORDER COOK experience and inventory management experience
- Must be an extremely sanitary individual follows OSHA Health Codes and CDC Guidelines at all times
- Must work well with all others, positive attitude, flexible
