Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our dynamic finance team. Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping including accounts payable and bank reconciliations using various financial software such as QuickBooks and Build Ops
- prepare and record journal entries accurately, ensuring proper double entry bookkeeping practices and adherence to GAAP standards.
- Oversee payroll processing using systems like ADP, ensuring timely and accurate employee payments.
- Maintain confidential financial information with integrity while handling sensitive data securely.
- Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies or anomalies, resolving issues promptly through detailed investigation.
- Collaborate with external auditors during audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations of financial data.
- Depositing daily incoming checks
- Verify daily banking transactions
- Entering vendor bills into Quickbooks Online
- Answering calls from vendors seeking payment
- Monthly sales tax report
- Monthly union report
Experience
- Proven experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role within a corporate or governmental setting.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles including GAAP and governmental accounting standards.
- Hands-on experience with accounting software platforms such as QuickBooks, or similar systems.
- Familiarity with payroll systems like ADP or UltiPro is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to perform account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, journal entries, and general ledger management accurately.
- Excellent numeracy skills combined with attention to detail for precise data entry and financial analysis.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle confidential information discreetly while managing multiple priorities efficiently.
