We're looking for a Special Hazards CAD Designer to support the design and development of engineered and fixed suppression systems. This position is ideal for someone with strong AutoCAD skills who can independently manage multiple design projects while working closely with our Special Hazards team.
What You'll Do
- Produce CAD drawings and wiring diagrams for special hazards and engineered suppression systems using AutoCAD
- Independently manage multiple suppression system design projects and meet established guidelines
- Maintain organized CAD files, documentation, and revision control
- Translate engineering specifications into accurate, production-ready fixed suppression system drawings
- Support AHJ submittal packages and complete revisions required through the plan review process
- Coordinate with project teams to ensure drawings accurately reflect project requirements and specifications
- Maintain accuracy and attention to detail throughout the design and documentation process
What You Need
- Strong, demonstrated proficiency with AutoCAD
- CAD drafting or design experience
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and related project documentation
- Ability to independently manage multiple projects with limited oversight
- General understanding of fire suppression systems
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and time-management skills
- Valid driver's license
- NICET Level I or Level II certification is preferred; candidates at either level are encouraged to apply

This is an on-site position in the Kansas City, MO/KS metro area and is not remote-eligible during the first year of employment. Compensation and sign-on bonus subject to final company approval.
