Overview
Bark & Bathe is seeking a friendly, dependable, and highly organized receptionist to join our team in Springfield Missouri. We are a busy, professional dog grooming, daycare and boarding facility that takes pride in providing excellent care and outstanding customer service.
Our receptionist is the first person clients speak with and the friendly face that welcomes them into our shop. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, communicating with customers, managing multiple tasks, and being around dogs of all breeds and sizes.
Duties
- Answer incoming phone calls in a friendly and professional manner
- Schedule grooming, daycare, and boarding appointments
- Check clients and dogs in and out
- Collect payments and operate the point-of-sale system
- Maintain accurate customer and pet records
- Verify vaccination information with veterinary offices
- Communicate important information between clients and staff
- Explain Bark & Bathe's services, policies, and pricing
- Keep the lobby and front-desk area clean and organized
- Assist with other shop duties as needed
The Ideal Candidate
- Has excellent customer-service and communication skills
- Is friendly, professional, dependable, and punctual
- Is organized and able to multitask without becoming overwhelmed
- Pays close attention to details
- Is comfortable using computers, scheduling software, and answering phones
- Can remain calm and courteous when handling difficult situations
- Is comfortable around barking, pet hair, and dogs of all sizes
- Works well independently and as part of a team
- Has reliable transportation and a consistent work history
Previous receptionist, customer-service, boarding or daycare experience is helpful but not required. We are willing to train the right person who has a positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
