Job Overview
We are hiring a Cashier / Sales Associate for a smoke shop. This position is for someone dependable, friendly, and comfortable helping customers in a relaxed retail environment.
Applicants must be 21 years old or older. Must be honest, reliable, very flexible with scheduling, able to show up on time, and comfortable working in a smoke shop environment.
Duties
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process sales efficiently, checking I.D’s
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting shoppers, answering questions, and offering product recommendations.
- Handle cash, credit card transactions, and perform basic math calculations with accuracy during cashiering duties.
- Keeping the store clean, and following store procedures. The employee will also be responsible for completing inventory counts, including counting products accurately at the beginning and/or end of shifts.
Qualifications
- Previous retail sales experience preferred
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers confidently.
- Experience with POS systems and cash handling procedures required.
- Knowledge of merchandising, stocking, and retail math essential for daily operations
- Ability to provide friendly customer service while maintaining professionalism
- Familiarity with retail operations and inventory managemen.
