This is an independent contractor role.
SUMMARY:
This position delivers quality outpatient mental health services in an agency setting to individuals, couples, families and children who are experiencing a range of mental health symptoms. Clinician will be able to apply advanced knowledge and implementation of skills/interventions.
As a contractual position, this is a great opportunity for you to craft a schedule that meets your needs.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Works with clients to develop acceptable goals and work towards defined outcomes.

Develops case load, supplemented by Agency referrals.

Performs intakes and assessments.

Maintains documentation as required.
Requirements:
Qualifications

Minimum MSW/MA in a mental health-related field; training in individual, relationship and family counseling and at least one-year related experience and/or training.

Licensure as LMSW or LPC preferred, will accept LLMSW or LLPC.
Parameters of this contracted role include:

Must accept Medicaid.

Family & Children Services sets the rate charged to the client.

Family & Children Services provides billing, scheduling, receptionists, office space, and equipment, and Electronic Health Record at our Kalamazoo offices.

Possibly some hours working remotely; most hours will be in our offices.

As a contract therapist with the counseling center at Family & Children Services we ask:

Ability to have your own liability insurance

Ability to provide references we can contact related to your work as a therapist

Must sign a HIPAA business agreement

Ability to provide a copy of your professional licensure

Ability to provide us information on any insurance plans you are currently credentialed with
We will provide you with:

Reception/scheduling/billing

Credentialing for insurance panels

70/30 split for payment (70% to contracted employee and 30% to agency), payment monthly
Agency hours of operation:
Monday - Thursday 8:30am-5:00pm
Friday 8:30am-12:00pm
Scheduling outside of these hours will be your responsible for greeting appointments and there may not be other people immediately in the area of the building.
