Preparing menus to comply with licensing regulations and the Child Nutrition Program's nutritional requirements weekly.
Supervising personnel assigned to assist with food preparation.
Ordering bulk items and paper goods with the director's approval. Preparing all meals for program participants.
Arranging with director for the purchase of daily or weekly non-bulk items. Maintaining the kitchen at all times to meet environmental health requirements.
Storing foods appropriately in pantry, refrigerator and freezer.
Providing assistance to teachers for food and cooking experiences they may wish to plan for the classroom.
Filling out the Child Nutrition Program's daily report of menus an nutritional components; assisting Director with monthly Child Nutrition Report.
Meeting with Director and other staff to discuss goals of the Child Nutrition Program and center standards; when necessary.
