JOB SUMMARY:
This position involves driving company trucks to job sites, transporting materials, operating machinery, and assisting with additional tasks as assigned to ensure work is completed efficiently and effectively.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Load equipment and other materials as required.
- Drive both local and regional routes.
- Transport loads to proper disposal facilities, including landfills.
- Drive and operate equipment on site and move equipment to other job sites.
- Participate in practical and manual activities daily.
- Adhere to all Corbitt Construction and its customers’ policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure that health and safety standards are achieved, including but not limited to wearing all protective safety equipment, including any special safety equipment as may be required.
- Complete job tasks with personal and public safety as the top priority.
- Work safely during all phases of performing the job duties required in the field.
- Assist in the inspection of equipment, tools, and the general work area.
- Maintain equipment requirements, as necessary.
- Assist in the operation of equipment or power tools.
- Excellent dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- May be exposed to varying levels of physical activity and physical extremes, such as long periods of standing, walking, crouching, and the use of hands, as well as heavy lifting of up to 25 pounds or more.
- May work in diverse environments such as confined spaces, various heights, and storage tanks.
- May work in environments that are extreme in nature, like environmental conditions such as extreme heat, cold, dry, or wet environments, as well as around hazardous chemicals/materials, loud noises, dangerous equipment, and long hours.
- Complete assigned work on job sites.
- Ability to follow directions; read/speak and understand English; read and understand common danger placards/labels and hazardous warning literature, including site safety plans.
- May be required to assist technicians with work on the job site.
- Engage in strenuous physical labor, including lifting, pulling, and pushing heavy objects.
- Operate light and heavy equipment, including, but not limited to, blasting equipment, vacuum trucks, and hoses.
- Work in diverse environments, including confined spaces, various heights, and storage tanks.
- Load equipment and other materials required for the assigned job onto the truck.
- Assist in the operation of equipment or power tools.
- Assist in the inspection of equipment, tools, and the general work area.
- Assist in the clean-up of the work area and equipment after work is completed.
- Maintain equipment requirements, as necessary.
- Complete assigned work on job sites.
- Additional duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Strong commitment to safety.
- Class A or B CDL license required, Class A Preferred.
- Tanker and Hazardous Material license endorsements are a plus.
- Must be able to pass DOT Medical and Pulmonary Fit Tests.
- Must consistently demonstrate safe working practices
- Must maintain a valid commercial driver's license and a clean driving record.
- The following training is a plus:
o MSHA Trained
o OSHA Trained
o Forklift / Skid Steer Trained
o Aerial Lift / Scissor Lift Trained
o Confined Space Trained
o Fire Watch / Hot Work Trained
- Strong commitment to safety.

- Experience in emergency response, manual labor, general construction, and/or industrial cleaning is preferred.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Highly motivated individual demonstrating self-initiative.
- Good organizational skills, decisiveness, and initiative.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to read and write in English.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment background and substance screening process, including, but not limited to, employment verifications, criminal search, and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) search, as well as continued verifications throughout employment to ensure that all records meet company policy standards.
- Ability to work extended hours, weekends, holidays, and out of town.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Frequently requires sitting, standing, walking, pulling and/or pushing, stooping, crouching, and climbing.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.
- Ability to lift > 25 pounds and perform strenuous physical labor in various work environments.
- Noise level in the work environment can be moderate to severe.
- Ability to respond quickly to sounds.
- Ability to see and react to dangerous situations.
- Ability to work in extreme weather.
- Ability to perform overhead work.
- Pass applicable medical exams.

Base Pay: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour
