House Manager (Part-Time)
We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented House Manager to oversee the day-to-day operation of our busy family home. This is more than a housekeeping position—our ideal candidate enjoys creating order, anticipating needs, maintaining systems, and taking pride in keeping a home running smoothly.
This role is perfect for someone who notices the little things before anyone else does, enjoys organization, and takes ownership of their work without needing constant direction.
Schedule
Approximately 10 hours per week, typically:
- Monday: 3 hours
- Wednesday: 3 hours
- Friday: 4 hours
Primary Responsibilities
- Maintain the daily reset of the home, including kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, living areas, mudroom, laundry room, and playroom.
- Manage all household laundry, including washing, drying, folding, hanging, ironing as needed, and changing bed linens.
- Keep kitchens and common areas clean, organized, and ready for daily use.
- Restock household supplies and monitor inventory, notifying us before items run low.
- Prepare weekly supplement organizers for our children.
- Water indoor plants.
- Manage weekly trash and recycling.
- Perform routine monthly household maintenance tasks such as refrigerator cleaning, espresso machine maintenance, charging electronic household devices, vacuuming baseboards, and laundering duvet and mattress covers.
- Organize closets, pantry, storage areas, children’s spaces, office, and other household areas as needed.
- Complete special organizing projects throughout the year.
- Identify maintenance concerns, damaged items, or household issues and communicate them promptly.
- Perform a final walkthrough before leaving to ensure the home is tidy, organized, and ready for the family.
Ideal Candidate
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has prior experience as a House Manager, Estate Manager, or Executive Housekeeper.
- Is exceptionally organized and proactive.
- Notices details without being asked.
- Takes ownership of the home as if it were their own.
- Is trustworthy, dependable, and discreet.
- Enjoys creating systems and maintaining order.
- Can work independently with minimal supervision.
- Is physically able to perform household tasks, including laundry, bending, lifting, and stairs.
Compensation
Competitive hourly pay based on experience.
