Responsibilities
Assist with loading and unloading goods from box trucks using manual lifting techniques, pallet jacks, or forklifts when necessary. Support the driver in securing cargo properly to prevent damage during transit. Help with organizing packages and ensuring accurate load distribution for optimal vehicle balance. Participate in route driving alongside the driver, gaining valuable delivery driver experience. Perform safety checks on equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts, adhering to safety protocols. Load and unload shipments efficiently at various delivery locations, maintaining a high level of customer service. Assist with route navigation and delivery documentation to ensure accurate and timely deliveries.
Skills
Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional attitude. Previous warehouse experience or familiarity with loading/unloading procedures. Experience operating box trucks or similar commercial vehicles; knowledge of manual transmission is a plus. Physical ability to lift heavy items regularly and perform moving tasks safely. Experience using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other warehouse equipment is advantageous. Understanding of route driving principles and safety regulations for delivery drivers. Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to follow instructions precisely and work efficiently under pressure.
