Job Summary
The Cleaner Lead is responsible for overseeing a team of cleaning staff to ensure high standards of cleanliness, safety, and customer satisfaction. This role involves assigning daily tasks, inspecting completed work, training team members, and leading by example while performing cleaning duties as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of cleaning staff.
- Assign work schedules and ensure all tasks are completed efficiently.
- Inspect cleaned areas to ensure quality standards are met.
- Train, mentor, and support new and existing employees.
- Perform cleaning duties alongside the team when necessary.
- Ensure proper use, storage, and maintenance of cleaning equipment and supplies.
- Monitor inventory levels and report supply needs.
- Follow and enforce company policies, safety procedures, and cleaning protocols.
- Address client concerns promptly and professionally.
- Report maintenance issues, incidents, or safety hazards to management.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, inspections, and completed work.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous professional cleaning experience required.
- Prior supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
- Knowledge of commercial cleaning methods, equipment, and chemicals.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Reliable transportation and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in various indoor and outdoor environments.
