We are looking for enthusiastic and eager candidates for a Shop Technician position to join our growing team in our Northern California (Rio Linda) location.
Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic Equipment Support & Shop Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you will be instrumental in maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of equipment and machinery used in environmental field operations. Your expertise will ensure the smooth functioning of equipment, supporting our project teams and enhancing operational efficiency.
Duties
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, generators, and small engines to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems using schematics and diagnostic tools.
- Conduct electrical diagnostics and repairs, including soldering and electrical system troubleshooting.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to perform mechanical repairs and equipment maintenance.
- Assist with vehicle maintenance tasks such as diesel engine repair, heavy lifting, and manual handling.
- Diagnose issues related to power generation systems and mechanical systems repair, ensuring safety and compliance standards are met.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities for all equipment.
Job Requirements
- Must have a clean and valid driver’s CA license.
- Proven experience in equipment and/or vehicle maintenance and repair.
- Familiarity with industrial power tools and equipment.
- Experience with changing tires & changing oil.
- Ability to service gas powered equipment.
- Ability to travel and have overnights on occasion.
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting repair of water sampling pumps, equipment, and meters.
- Assist in all operations as needed and run errands.
- Applying quality system requirements to work processes.
- Execute activities as assigned by your manager or lead technician.
- Willingness to learn company training and cross-functional efforts.
- Assist in shop cleanliness.
- Apply safety precautions in all aspects of the job.
- The ability to lift 50 pounds from floor to waist level and lift 50 pounds and carry 200 feet.
- Comfortable driving a Ford 450 Super Duty truck or Large Sprinter Vans and occasionally pulling a trailer.
- Comfortable on computers and learning software systems for inventory.
- Ability to work full time.
- Must pass pre-employment physical and drug test.

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
