Responsibilities for Wok Chef:
- Prepare ingredients and cook dishes using wok stations according to established recipes
- Operate woks safely and efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Ensure all dishes are cooked to standard and delivered in a timely manner
- Monitor ingredient levels at your station and restock as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized wok station and surrounding prep areas
- Ensure quality, freshness, and consistency of all dishes leaving your station
- Follow all sanitation, food safety, and personal hygiene standards
- Assist with training other kitchen staff as needed
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by kitchen shift leads and managers
Qualifications for Wok Chef:
- Proven experience cooking with a wok in a high-volume kitchen
- Strong understanding of Cantonese and Asian cooking methods
- Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure
- Organized, self-motivated, and reliable
- Ability to remain calm in a fast-paced environment
- Able to stand, bend, and lift moderate to heavy items
- Flexible to work mornings, weekends, and holidays
