What we ask
Technical degree with a minimum of 3 years of electrical experience
Industrial electrical background preferred; Electrical Technician Certification strongly desired
Working knowledge of:
- Electrical distribution, boilers, wells, heat exchangers
- Water, air, steam, hydraulic, pneumatic, and refrigeration systems
- Welding (sanitary welding is a plus)
- Instrumentation (sensors, chart recorders, Watlows)
- PLCs (upload/download and basic ladder logic)
Experience with process systems such as dryers, evaporators, filtration, HTSTs, reactors, and RO/MF systems
Ability to troubleshoot, make sound decisions, and solve problems independently
Functional computer skills, including Microsoft Office and plant data systems
Strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and work in a production environment with appropriate PPE

Vacancy description
The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for the day‑to‑day inspection, repair, and maintenance of plant equipment and utilities. Key responsibilities include completing daily inspection rounds, executing scheduled work orders, installing and testing new equipment, and diagnosing mechanical or electrical issues.
This role involves working with water, steam, air, gas, electrical, refrigeration, hydraulic, and mechanical systems, as well as interacting with PLC‑controlled process equipment. The Maintenance Mechanic may also support production operations as needed and must be knowledgeable about plant processes.
The position is based on the production floor, where moderate to high noise levels and exposure to chemicals may be present. Strict adherence to safety, environmental, GMP, and quality policies is required at all times.
