Role Overview
Ritz Safety is a national distributor of safety products competing in a fast-moving, relationship-driven industry. This is not an entry-level role. The National Account Executive is one of the most visible and highly regarded positions in our organization. It is a seat at the table that carries real responsibility and real earning potential. You will manage a portfolio of national accounts, directly oversee and coordinate with Customer Service Representatives (CSRs) who support your accounts, and compete aggressively to win and retain business. Expect a high volume of daily activity: customer calls, pricing decisions, sourcing challenges, internal coordination, and constant problem-solving. Candidates who thrive here are organized, competitive, and relentless about follow-through.
Job Type: Full-time
Department: National Accounts
Minimum Expected Hours: 40 per week
Work Location: In person
Compensation Structure
This role offers a structured ramp designed to set you up for success, with a clear path to uncapped commission earnings as your portfolio grows.
Year 1 Guarantee Period:
A guaranteed base salary is provided for the first year. This period is designed to allow you to build your book of business, learn our systems and product lines, and establish customer relationships without the pressure of a commission-only model.
Year 2 and Beyond, Salary Plus Commission Program:
After the guarantee period, compensation transitions to our Salary Plus Commission Program: a base salary combined with 2.5% commission on gross profit generated by your accounts. High performers who build strong, profitable books of business have significant upside. Your earnings are directly tied to what you produce.
Commission Rates:
- 2.5% payout on gross profits
Payment Schedule:
- Base salary is paid on a biweekly schedule.
- Commission is subject to a two-month delay. Commissions earned in a given month are paid two months following the close of that month.

- Compete aggressively to win and retain business. Ritz Safety competes on service speed, product availability, pricing flexibility, and our ability to source hard-to-find items. You need to know our strengths, know our competitors’ weaknesses, and use that knowledge daily to protect and grow your accounts.
Quota & Growth Targets
- Annual gross profit targets established at the start of each plan year.
- Freight dollars impact the profit line, and pricing freight appropriately is required to protect margins.
- This is a fast-paced environment. Priorities shift daily. Quotes, sourcing requests, customer escalations, and pricing decisions do not wait. You are expected to move quickly, make sound decisions under pressure, and keep your accounts running smoothly.
Growth Opportunities
- The National Account Executive role is a proven pathway into senior sales leadership and operations management at Ritz Safety. Individuals who demonstrate consistent performance, team leadership, and strong account growth have advanced into broader roles within the organization.
