As a Floater Teacher, you will play a crucial role in our daily operations by bringing positive energy to different classrooms, supporting teachers during break windows, and ensuring our children have safe, fun experiences during community outings.
Position Details
- Status: Part-time (20–25 hours per week)

Key Responsibilities
- Classroom & Break Support: Provide seamless 30-minute lunch and rest breaks for primary teachers across various classrooms, maintaining a warm, positive environment during transitions.
- Outing Assistance: Actively assist and supervise children during off-site community outings, ensuring the highest standards of safety and engagement.
- Value-Driven Care: Model Hygge Kinder’s core values of kindness, positivity, resilience, and community in all interactions with children, staff, and families.
- Curriculum & Culture Support: Help implement daily curriculum activities that support social-emotional growth, creativity, and early academics while covering classrooms.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure all health, safety, and childcare licensing requirements are strictly met throughout the day.
- Team Collaboration: Partner with the rest of the team to keep the building, shared spaces, and classrooms clean, organized, and welcoming.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Previous experience working with infants, toddlers, or preschool-aged children (preferred).
- High adaptability and a positive, "can-do" attitude to easily shift between different age groups.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to meet state childcare licensing background checks and health requirements.
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
