Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Health and Wellness Director to lead our healthcare team in providing exceptional care to residents. This leadership role requires a combination of clinical expertise, management experience, and a strong understanding of healthcare regulations. The ideal candidate will oversee the development and implementation of care plans, ensure compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory standards, and foster a supportive environment for both residents and staff. Prior experience in critical care, assisted living, home health, hospice care, or acute care settings is highly desirable. Duties
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized care plans for residents, ensuring they meet medical and emotional needs.
- Supervise nursing staff, including nurse management and shift management responsibilities, ensuring high standards of patient care.
- Oversee documentation review and ensure accurate maintenance of medical records using EMR systems.
- Monitor patient health status through regular assessments and coordinate case management efforts to optimize resident outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations, Medicare guidelines, and other healthcare standards.
- Manage budgets related to healthcare services and staffing to ensure efficient resource utilization.
- Lead staff training sessions on physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and documentation procedures.
- Collaborate with physicians, families (including residents’ families), and external healthcare providers to coordinate comprehensive care.
- Oversee the review of care documentation to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- Maintain a safe environment by adhering to safety protocols and conducting regular safety audits.
- Support resident engagement by fostering a compassionate environment that respects individual needs and preferences.
Skills
- Extensive experience in critical care, assisted living, home health, hospice care, or acute care settings.
- Proven management and supervising experience within healthcare environments.
- Strong knowledge of EMR systems, medical records management, and documentation review processes.
- In-depth understanding of HIPAA regulations, Medicare guidelines, medical terminology, physiology, and anatomy.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage shift schedules effectively while maintaining high-quality patient care.
- Excellent case management capabilities with experience developing personalized care plans for diverse resident populations.
- Ability to monitor patient health through effective patient monitoring techniques and adapt care strategies accordingly.
- Experience in budgeting for healthcare services and managing resources efficiently.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times. This position is integral to ensuring our residents receive compassionate, compliant, and comprehensive healthcare services under expert leadership.
Pay: $80,000.00 - $88,000.00 per year
