The Division of Endocrinology, Metabolism, and Obesity is a collaborative and interdisciplinary research environment internationally known for its excellence in clinical care and research. The Schweppe lab has studied kinase signaling mechanisms for over 15 years using thyroid cancer as a model. We have developed many relevant in vitro models to study signal transduction methods, as well as relevant in vivo preclinical models to help translate our findings to the clinic. We have published our findings in top journals and we present our research at national/international conferences.
We are committed to creating career pathways and learning and development opportunities. Previous lab members have gone onto matriculate in medical or graduate school, secured positions in industry, science writing, or as scientific consultants.
