IMPORTANT: THIS IS NOT AN HOURLY POSITION
This position is paid on a daily-rate basis, not hourly.
Drivers must be available for a full day of work and are expected to remain available until their assigned route and required duties are completed.
Route completion times will vary from day to day based on package volume, stop count, route conditions, traffic, weather, and other operational needs.
****Applicants should not apply if they are only available for a limited number of hours each day or need to leave at a specific time before their route is completed.****
Weekend Availability is REQUIRED
VE7 operates 7 days a week.
All applicants must be available to work at least one weekend day — Saturday or Sunday.
Availability to work both Saturday and Sunday is strongly preferred and may provide additional scheduling opportunities.
Applicants who are unavailable to work any weekend days will not be considered.
Minimum Qualifications
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
Must have a working cell phone.
Must be dependable and consistently on time.
Must be available to work at least one weekend day.
Must be available for a full day of work until the assigned route is completed.
Ability to lift, push, and pull packages weighing up to 150 lbs.
Ability to safely operate a step van weighing over 10,000 lbs.
Comfortable using handheld scanners, smartphones, and mobile devices.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
Must be able to work in all weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and other outdoor conditions.
Must have a strong work ethic and commitment to safety.
Must be able to pass a criminal background check.

Paid Training
$125 per day during training
Starting pay of $150+ per day after successful completion of training

Key Responsibilities
Safely operate a FedEx Ground delivery vehicle.
Deliver and pick up packages accurately and on time.
Complete the entire assigned route and all required daily duties.
Use a handheld device to scan packages and complete deliveries.
Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
Follow all DOT, company, and FedEx safety policies and procedures.
Follow delivery instructions and company service standards.
Maintain accurate delivery records.
Provide outstanding customer service.
Maintain a clean and professional appearance while representing VE7 and servicing FedEx Ground customers.
Schedule Expectations
This is a delivery-route position. Your workday ends when your assigned route and required duties are completed, not after a predetermined number of hours.
Drivers should be prepared for daily workloads and completion times to vary depending on operational volume.
Reliable attendance and schedule flexibility are essential to this position.
