Purpose:
OGA Women’s Health is seeking a full-time (approx. 35 hours per week) Medical Assistant this position is set to take place primarily at our Meridian clinic location, and may require occasional travel to our Ten Mile clinic location, Monday through Friday during regular business hours. No evenings or weekends!
Responsibilities: The Medical Assistant is primarily responsible for assisting the physician in the examination and treatment of patients, and assisting in maintaining patient flow and supporting clinic operations and daily tasks. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Prepare exam rooms for patient use, ensuring that all supplies and instruments are stocked at adequate par levels on a daily basis and throughout the day.
- Reviews charts daily for patients scheduled with physician, posting lab results on OB flow sheet, PAP results on problem list, and other documentation as needed.
- Greets patient from waiting room, obtains height, weight and blood pressure on all patients, allergic reactions, and chief complaint, etc.
- Completes all required charting and documentation according to clinic guidelines and the direction of the physician.
Position Requirements:
- Registered/Certified Medical Assistant required
- Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a high school diploma or equivalent
Pay: starting wage range: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour to start depending on skills, experience and relevant certifications.
