Psych Tech - PRSA
Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Psych Tech - PRSA to join our team at Continental Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Chicago, IL. As a Psych Tech - PRSA, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our residents, promoting their physical, emotional, and psychological well-being. Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care to residents, including but not limited to: vital signs, grooming, bathing, dressing, and toileting
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as feeding, transfers, and ambulation
- Participate in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans
- Utilize behavioral and psychoeducational techniques to manage resident behaviors and improve coping skills
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to address resident needs and concerns
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of resident care and progress
- Implement and monitor resident safety protocols, including fall prevention and management
Requirements:
- Experience: 2 years of experience; however, prior experience in a healthcare setting is preferred
- Certifications/Licenses: Must possess valid Psych Tech - PRSA certification
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
