The IBP Ice Center is hiring Parks & Rec Specialists starting this fall! This position will oversee the operations of IBP Ice Center during hockey games, private ice rentals, and weekly public skating. We will provide training on operation of the Zamboni to clean the ice, ensure the facility is clean, oversee the concession stand and staff safety. Work Environment: Work is equally performed outdoors year-round, and inside a recreation facility environment with appropriate heating and cooling and is subject to potential occupational or environmental hazards commonly associated with working in outdoor recreation; occasionally works with commercial food preparation equipment with related exposure to hot grease, food warmers, beverage dispensers, refrigerators, freezers and a variety of electrical appliances with potential to electric shock, cooking fumes and odors and hot grease; noise level in the workplace is usually moderate; may occasionally work in outside weather conditions with regular exposure to cold, often below zero degrees and low wind chill. Schedules/hours may every day to day, ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
Graduation from High School; must be 18 years of age or older and one (1) year of related work experience in recreation, supervision of staff, or building maintenance experience.
