You'll handle legal research, streamline communications, and navigate estate settlements smoothly alongside partners and clients. Responsibilities:
Prepare court pleadings to initiate estate or guardianship proceedings.
Monitor and maintain files for estate administration, trust administration, and guardianship.
Review estate planning, will, and trust documents thoroughly.
Prepare trust administration documents including acceptances, resignations, and declinations of trustees.
Prepare meticulous trust and estate accounting.
Draft professional memorandums and correspondences.
Manage communications among attorneys, clients, beneficiaries, and family members.
Monitor trust and estate accounts, including the payment of monthly expenses.
Research asset and debt information for trusts and estates.
Prepare deeds and execute transfers for vehicles, brokerage accounts, and cash distributions to beneficiaries.
Assemble necessary documentation for trust and estate administration tax returns (estate, income, and gift tax).
Collaborate on the overall preparation of tax returns.
Conduct estate and guardianship legal research pertaining to complex issues.
Locate beneficiaries of trusts or estates when necessary.
Preferred Skills:
A degree in Business Administration or a related field is preferred.
High level of adaptability to prioritize, multitask, and manage time effectively.
Required Skills:
Three years of experience as a Paralegal or Tax Fiduciary Accountant.
Direct experience handling probate, trust administration matters, and estate settlements.
Exceptional organization skills and razor-sharp attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Outlook.
Ability to develop, organize, and maintain electronic data collection systems.
Compensation & Benefits:
Salary: $75,000.00–$95,000.00 (Dependent upon experience).
Role Type: Exempt status.
Schedule: 37.5-hour work week.
Paid Time Off: 25 days of PTO in your first year, increasing to 30 days on your first anniversary.
