Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Therapist to join our dynamic mental health and behavioral care team. Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including diagnostic evaluations and intake interviews to determine individual needs and treatment goals
- Deliver evidence-based therapies such as cognitive behavioral therapy, behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and art therapy to individuals and groups
- Provide specialized counseling for addiction, trauma (including PTSD), gender issues, and crisis intervention situations
- Manage case documentation accurately in compliance with HIPAA regulations, including medical records, progress notes, and treatment plans
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care plans and ensure seamless service delivery for clients with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder
- Facilitate family and child counseling sessions to support holistic healing and development
- Engage in data collection efforts to monitor treatment effectiveness and improve service quality through ongoing evaluation
Skills
- Proven experience in home & community care settings with a strong understanding of social work principles
- Expertise in medical terminology, medical documentation, and managing confidential medical records in accordance with HIPAA standards
- Skilled in applied behavior analysis (ABA), crisis management, conflict resolution, and behavior management techniques
- Proficient in conducting patient care activities including mental health counseling, diagnostic evaluation, and case management
- Strong background in working with children, individuals with disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or developmental delays
- Knowledgeable about addiction counseling methods, trauma-informed care (including PTSD), and special education strategies
- Excellent communication skills for individual/group counseling sessions utilizing techniques such as motivational interviewing and psychotherapy
