M&A Analyst - Healthcare

UHP is currently affiliated with 182 providers consisting of 119 physicians and 63 advanced practice providers operating out of 54 locations across Southern, Central, and Northern California.
POSITION SUMMARY
The M&A Analyst will support the company's M&A strategy by assisting in the execution of strategic initiatives, financial modeling, due diligence, and post-transaction integration. This position requires an individual who is not only skilled in financial analysis but also capable of identifying and evaluating opportunities that align with Unio’s business development goals.
This is a hybrid position and worker location must be in or near Torrance CA, Denver, CO or Austin, TX
What you will be doing
- Assist in the identification, evaluation, and execution of M&A opportunities, including acquisitions, joint ventures, partnerships, and other strategic initiatives.
- Conduct financial and strategic analysis, including financial modeling, valuation, and identification of pro forma adjustments, to assess potential deals.
- Draft and review legal documents such as Confidentiality Agreements, Letters of Intent, and Definitive purchase agreements.
- Perform and coordinate due diligence on target companies, working closely with legal, finance, and operational teams to assess risks and opportunities.
- Prepare presentations and reports for senior leadership, including recommendations for deal execution and business integration.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth post-merger integration, including alignment of strategic objectives, operational processes, and culture.
- Provide insights and recommendations to enhance Unio Healthcare's business development efforts, including growth opportunities in new markets and sectors.
What you will bring to the team
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in M&A, investment banking, corporate finance, or strategy consulting, ideally in the healthcare sector.
- Advanced financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills, with a proven track record in assessing investment opportunities.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and other financial modeling tools.
- Business Development experience including identifying new opportunities, creating strategies to engage potential Sellers, and ability to build relationships and transition opportunities across the transaction lifecycle.
- Knowledge of healthcare-specific regulatory and reimbursement systems.
- Familiarity with post-merger integration best practices.
