We are seeking a compassionate, Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) with experience in pediatric care to join our supportive and patient-centered team. This clinical role involves direct patient care, efficient support of front-office processes, and collaboration with providers and fellow team members to ensure a smooth and caring experience for families.
Key Qualifications:
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) with experience in pediatrics strongly preferred
- Familiarity with outpatient pediatric workflows
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and multitasking skills
- Commitment to patient confidentiality and high-quality care
Primary Responsibilities – Clinical Duties:
- Room patients from newborns to young adults (0–21 years old), take vitals, and prepare for provider exams
- Administer vaccines and injections (IM, SQ, intradermal) and assist with vaccine documentation
- Perform in-office testing such as rapid flu, RSV, urinalysis, glucose, lipid panels, etc.
- Conduct or assist with breathing treatments (e.g., nebulizers) and spirometry
- Support the provider during minor procedures, including:
- Ear irrigation
- Wound care
- Abscess drainage
- Suture removal
- Foreign body removal
- Ensure exam rooms are stocked and cleaned between patients
- Assist in maintaining medical supply inventory and handling patient samples
Administrative Support:
- Participate in pre-visit planning and appointment confirmations
- Support patient scheduling, recalls, and follow-up outreach as directed
- Document accurately in the EMR following clinic protocols
- Help educate families about pediatric screenings and resources such as Reach Out and Read
- Work collaboratively with front desk and clinical staff to support efficient clinic flow
