Construction Supervisor / Project Manager
Work Schedule
Our company performs construction work for the NYC School Construction Authority (NYCSCA). Due to school occupancy requirements, the work schedule is:
- School Year: Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
- School Breaks & Summer Recess: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Requirements
- Must possess all required NYC Site Safety Training (SST) Supervisor certifications.
- Previous experience managing commercial or institutional construction projects is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Key Responsibilities
- Manage construction projects from start to completion.
- Supervise field personnel, subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors.
- Ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with contract documents.
- Review project drawings, specifications, and scope of work.
- Conduct daily site inspections to ensure quality control and compliance with safety regulations.
- Prepare and submit daily progress reports to upper management.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily logs, safety checklists, sign-in sheets, RFIs, change orders, and other project records.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, and clients to resolve project issues.
- Monitor project schedules and proactively address delays or conflicts.
- Enforce OSHA, NYCSCA, and company safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of construction management principles and field operations.
- Experience coordinating multiple subcontractors and project activities.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour
