Join the YMCA team and help deliver delicious, nutritious meals to children and families in rural communities this summer. As a motivated Meal Delivery & Engagement Staff in our summer Mobile Fit program, you'll gain valuable experience in community service while enjoying and a supportive work atmosphere.
This seasonal job offers 6 to 8 hour shifts every Monday-Friday during the summer. Hours may vary, but will be between 8/9am-4/5pm.

Key Responsibilities

Pick up and transport meals and supplies to various sites one to two times weekly

Serve bagged bulk meals to children following USDA and YMCA guidelines

Maintain positive, loving relationships with youth, parents, and staff

Adhere to all program and YMCA policies and standards

Attend staff meetings and required trainings
-
Complete timely and accurate documentation weekly
-
Adapt to changing program conditions and priorities
-
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
-
Must be 21 years or older

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required

Unhindered Motor Vehicle Report required

Excellent oral and written communication skills
-
Experience working with diverse children/youth populations preferred
Physical Demands

Ability to stand, stoop, crouch, lift up to 50 lbs, and hear/listen effectively

Comfortable working in various indoor/outdoor settings and weather conditions
-
Meal service occurs rain or shine
