Duties
- Deliver prepared lessons based on the curriculum provided by the regular classroom teacher, ensuring continuity of instruction.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively by implementing behavior management strategies and maintaining a respectful environment.
- Adapt instructional methods to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with special education requirements or autism spectrum conditions.
- Utilize educational technologies and computers to enhance lesson delivery and student engagement.
- Foster positive relationships with students from various cultural backgrounds, promoting inclusivity and respect.
- Communicate regularly with school staff, including teachers and administrators, to report on student progress and classroom activities.
- Follow school policies, mandated reporting laws, and safety procedures diligently to ensure a secure learning environment.
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in educational or childcare settings is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability in lesson planning, curriculum development, and curriculum implementation across subjects such as literacy education, math, or early childhood education.
- Experience managing classroom behavior and implementing classroom management techniques effectively.
- Familiarity with special education practices, including working with individuals with autism or other learning differences.
- Strong communication skills for parent-teacher communication and collaborating with teaching teams.
- Knowledge of educational technologies and computers used for instruction.
- Previous experience in private schools or Montessori environments is a plus; however, all relevant classroom experience is valued.
