Business Development Director
This is a direct hire position.
About this position:
YUPRO Placement is seeking a high-performing, quota-carrying sales leader to drive net-new logo acquisition and accelerate revenue growth. This is a hunter role, not an account management position. The Director will be responsible for building a pipeline from scratch, generating demand through outbound prospecting, and owning the full sales cycle from initial outreach through contract close. Success requires a disciplined, metrics-driven approach to pipeline generation, a consultative sales mindset, and the ability to engage senior decision-makers. The Director is expected to use AI tools actively and effectively to increase the quality and velocity of prospecting, research, outreach, and sales content development. YUPRO Placement is the workforce partner for employers who want to access a proven pipeline of skilled, early-career talent developed through Year Up United. This role directly expands the employer partnerships that make that placement possible.
Core Job Responsibilities:
- Own a net-new revenue target with full accountability for quarterly and annual quota attainment.
- Build and manage a self-generated pipeline through outbound prospecting, including cold calls, email, LinkedIn, events, and referrals, and secure first meetings with qualified prospects.
- Own the end-to-end sales process from initial outreach through contract close, including discovery, solution design, negotiation, and execution.
- Conduct high-quality consultative discovery to understand prospect business needs and align YUPRO Placement solutions to measurable hiring outcomes.
- Engage and build relationships with senior stakeholders and decision-makers, including C-level executives and line-of-business leaders with budget authority, to drive new employer partnerships.
General Job Responsibilities:
- Meet and exceed pipeline and sales activity metrics as defined by quarterly and annual performance expectations.
- Maintain accurate CRM records and deliver data-driven pipeline forecasting to leadership.
- Penetrate client verticals to drive new business opportunities, develop new client champions, and overcome sales objections to diversify YUPRO Placement’s engagement within each account.
- Identify client talent needs and translate them internally to collaborate on solutions, then present recommendations that respond to client placement priorities.
- Develop and deliver high-quality sales presentations and materials for effective client meetings in a remote-first environment, in coordination with the marketing team where applicable.
- Leverage AI tools to research accounts and personalize outreach at scale.
- Support strategic account initiatives, vertical-specific campaigns, and marketing programs as directed.

- Experience reviewing and negotiating contract terms and employer partner agreements.
- Proficiency with CRM platforms and data-driven sales forecasting.
- Working proficiency with AI tools, including LLM-based assistants, for account research, outreach personalization, and sales content development.
