Job Title: Male Specimen Collector

Schedule: Monday – Friday | 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM

About the Role:
We are seeking a reliable and professional Male Specimen Collector to join our team in Lewiston, Maine. This individual will be responsible for collecting and processing biological specimens in a clinical setting. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing a respectful and comfortable experience for patients.
Note: This position requires a male collector due to the sensitive nature of the population being served.
Responsibilities:
- Collect urine and/or other biological specimens in accordance with established protocols and guidelines.
- Ensure proper patient identification and accurate labeling of specimens.
- Maintain strict chain of custody procedures and proper documentation for all collected samples.
- Prepare and package specimens for secure and timely shipment to the laboratory.
- Provide a professional, respectful, and compassionate experience for all clients.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the collection area.
- Comply with HIPAA regulations, safety standards, and infection control protocols.
- Communicate effectively with program staff and laboratory personnel.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and responsibly.
- Must be male (position requirement based on client population).
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Reliable transportation to and from the site.
