Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive HR Assistant to support our talent acquisition and HR teams. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a smooth onboarding experience and ensure efficient HR operations. The ideal candidate will be organized, communicative, and capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
What You'll Do:

Provide administrative support to the HR Department.

Support the talent acquisition team by performing interview confirmations and completing pre-employment processes within designated timeframes

Administer end-to-end onboarding logistics for new hires, including document collection, system setup, and orientation support

Conduct new hire orientation sessions weekly

Assist in maintaining employee records such as photos, safety shoe information, company-provided phone numbers and email addresses, and corrective action memorandums within the HRIS

Assist with processing weekly payroll, auditing timecards, earnings, deductions, and employee records to ensure payroll accuracy

Prepare HR reports, spreadsheets and correspondence

Assist employees with benefits administration, including enrollment, changes, and employee inquiries

Review insurance invoices for accuracy, balance, and proper segmentation for accounting purposes

Process termination paperwork for departing employees to ensure smooth offboarding

Provide information on remaining balances for boots and uniforms upon employee termination for payroll processing

Track and manage company store orders to ensure timely delivery and inventory accuracy

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
-
Minimum 1 to 3 years of experience in HR administration or related administrative role

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
-
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn human resource information system (HRIS)
-
Ability to work with all levels of the organization, including management team
Physical Demands:
-
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift to fifteen pounds at times (e.g., files, office supplies).

Ability to move around the office to file documents, retrieve supplies, or assist with clerical tasks.

Occasional bending, reaching, and standing as needed.
