Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Chief Engineer to lead our facilities and mechanical systems operations. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the maintenance, repair, and management of complex mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems across our manufacturing or industrial site. Your leadership will ensure that all facilities operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with industry standards and safety regulations. Duties
- Lead and supervise maintenance teams responsible for mechanical systems repair, electrical systems troubleshooting, HVAC system repair, plumbing maintenance, and industrial maintenance activities.
- Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance repair procedures to optimize equipment uptime and reliability.
- Manage facilities maintenance teams using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track work orders, asset histories, and preventive maintenance schedules.
- Oversee project management activities related to facilities upgrades, repairs, and installations ensuring timely completion within budget.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety regulations and safety protocols by conducting regular safety audits and training sessions for team members.
- Interpret schematics, technical diagrams, and electrical or mechanical drawings to diagnose issues accurately using tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters.
- Coordinate HVAC system repairs including high voltage and low voltage electrical work while maintaining strict adherence to safety standards.
- Manage facilities maintenance management processes including managing budgets, procurement of parts such as HVAC components or electrical supplies, and maintaining detailed records of all maintenance activities.

Qualifications
- Proven management experience supervising facilities maintenance or industrial maintenance teams in manufacturing or similar environments.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in mechanical systems repair, HVAC system troubleshooting, plumbing system maintenance, electrical systems repair (including high voltage), and industrial troubleshooting techniques.
- Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines.
- Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations and safety procedures related to industrial facilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for reporting and documentation purposes.
- Experience working with schematics, technical diagrams, CMMS software, and troubleshooting electrical or mechanical issues using appropriate tools such as ohmmeters.
- Excellent team management skills with a focus on leadership development and supervising diverse teams effectively.
- Strong communication skills in English for clear documentation and coordination across departments.
- Pool operators certificate
- Knowledge of HVAC systems repair including both mechanical components and electrical controls; experience with low voltage systems is preferred.
- Ability to interpret technical schematics accurately; familiarity with industrial manufacturing environments is a plus.
