Front of House Associate – Tous Les Jours (Catonsville, MD)

Pay: $14 base + tips

Tous Les Jours is a renowned French-Asian bakery specializing in fresh pastries, cakes, and handcrafted beverages. We are looking for friendly, energetic, and customer-focused individuals to join our Front of House team at our new Catonsville location.
Job Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist customers, ensuring a welcoming and positive experience.
- Display and maintain baked goods, keeping shelves stocked and visually appealing.
- Prepare and craft specialty coffee, tea, and other beverages according to company recipes.
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system to take orders and process payments.
- Maintain cleanliness in the store, including the front counter, seating areas, and self-serve stations.
- Assist with opening and closing duties as needed.

Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages to customers with precision and care.
- Operate cash register and handle transactions accurately, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including equipment, counters, and seating areas.
- Assist customers with menu selections, providing recommendations based on their preferences.
- Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, syrups, and other supplies; assist in ordering as needed.
- Adhere to food handling and safety regulations to ensure a safe environment for both staff and customers.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours while delivering exceptional service.
Experience
- Previous experience in the food industry or retail environment is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with cash registers and basic math skills for accurate transaction processing.
- Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and an understanding of café operations is a plus.
- Experience with Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage positively with customers and team members alike.
- A genuine passion for helping others and providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
