Position Description: Park Construction Company is a regional Highway/Heavy contractor established in Minneapolis, MN and Fargo, ND. We are searching for experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanics with the Local 49 in the Twin Cities Area. The right person will demonstrate a high safety standard and ability to work in a team environment.
- Repair & maintenance of all Park owned & rental equipment and vehicles.
- Diagnosing faults using computerized testing equipment.
- Driving to the various job sites.
- Cleaning, lubricating, and conducting routine services on heavy-duty vehicles.
- Performing major repair work when necessary.
- Consulting with other mechanics on jobs.
- Reporting damaged or faulty equipment to management.
- Assemble mechanical components according to specifications.
- Examine machines and oversee diagnostic tests to determine functionality problems.
- Design a plan of action for all maintenance tasks and upgrades.
- Maintain work logs, repairs, and maintenance records.
- Offer consultation on maintenance and preventative procedures to machine and vehicle users.
- Perform electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical repairs as well as preventative maintenance.
- Troubleshoot issues with diesel engines.
- Determine what parts and tools are necessary to make repairs.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
