MedWorks Program Coordinator
Malvern, PA | Full-Time | 12-Month Position
Commonwealth Charter Academy (CCA) is seeking a passionate and motivated MedWorks Program Coordinator to support our innovative, hands-on healthcare education program. Based in our state-of-the-art lab in Malvern, this role is perfect for someone who loves healthcare, technology, and inspiring students through experiential learning.
About the Role
MedWorks is a cutting-edge program designed to introduce K–12 students to healthcare careers through immersive, real-world experiences. As the Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in delivering engaging activities, maintaining lab operations, and supporting students as they explore their future pathways.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate in-person and virtual learning activities across K–12 grade levels
- Set up, organize, and maintain lab spaces and medical equipment
- Guide students through hands-on simulations and healthcare scenarios
- Provide individual and small group support to enhance learning
- Implement accommodations for students with IEPs
- Manage inventory, supplies, and equipment maintenance
- Troubleshoot lab issues and coordinate with vendors as needed
- Support event coordination, registrations, and family communication
- Conduct lab tours for prospective students and families
- Collaborate with staff to enhance program delivery and student experience
Qualifications
Required:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare, STEM, or related field
- 1+ year of experience in a healthcare or clinical setting (work or volunteer)
- Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare technology
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Preferred:
- Healthcare certification or licensure
- Direct patient care experience within the past 5 years
- K–12 teaching or training experience
- Experience with lab environments, simulations, or education programs
Skills & Competencies
- Knowledge of health sciences, lab safety, and patient care basics
- Interest in emerging technologies (robotics, drones, 3D printing, etc.)
- Detail-oriented, dependable, and proactive
- Strong customer service mindset
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Work Environment
- On-site role at CCA’s Malvern, PA Family Service Center
- Monday-Friday 8:00 am - 4:00 pm schedule with paid School Holidays!
- Combination of hands-on lab work and virtual student engagement
- May involve standing, lifting, bending, and extended periods of activity
Additional Requirements
- Valid PA Driver’s License and insurance
- Ability to travel occasionally (company vehicle provided)
